Margot Robbie to Star in New ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Movie
Margot Robbie is setting sail on the seven seas alongside her Birds of Prey writer Christina Hodson for a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hodson will write the new female-fronted film, with Robbie in the lead role. Plot Details are being kept under wraps but the film is not intended to be a spinoff, but a new story, with new characters set in the Pirates universe.

The project is said to be completely separate from the Pirates of the Caribbean reboot that has Pirates scribe Ted Elliott and Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin developing the story. This is the same project we reported that Karen Gillan is being looked at for a role. Johnny Depp isn’t expected to have a leading role as Captain Jack Sparrow in either project.
Longtime Pirates producer Jerry Bruckheimer is attached to produce both the Elliot/Mazin project and this new Robbie/Hodson project.
The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is one of the most financially successful of all time. The five films have grossed over $4.5 billion at the worldwide box office. The last movie Dead Men Tell No Tales ended up making $794.1M worldwide for the studio, dominating the Memorial Day weekend in 2017.

The Animation Commendation
This is an incredibly interesting idea. I wanna see how Margot Robbie will fare in a Pirates film.
Somehow, I haven’t been getting any notifications of any new posts since April in my WordPress. Not sure why.
