Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is currently touring its way across the United Kingdom, and Disney has announced that it will make a brief stop in London later this year!
The Tony Award-winning musical brings to life Disney’s classic tale of a prince transformed by an enchantress into a hideous beast, and his only hope to break the spell is the young woman he has locked in his castle.
The tour is a non-replica version of the original Broadway and West End productions, with updated sets, costumes, and technology. But it features all the songs we know and love, including ‘Be Our Guest‘, ‘Home‘ and ‘Human Again‘.
Courtney Stapleton continues her role as Belle alongside fellow tour co-stars Gavin Lee as Lumiere, Tom Senior as Gaston, X-Factor winner Sam Bailey as Mrs Potts, and Nigel Richards as Cogsworth.
New cast members will include Martin Ball as Maurice, Samantha Bingley as Madame de la Grand Bouche, Emma Caffrey as Babette, Louis Stockil as Le Fou, and Shaq Taylor as The Beast.
While we haven’t had a chance to see the show for ourselves yet, you can click here to read WhatsOnStage’s 5-star review.
Performances will take place at the London Palladium from Friday 24th June 2022 to Saturday 17th September. Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Friday 28th January.
The tour will also be leaving the UK and entering Ireland in November, with tickets going on sale soon!
