This week Disney achieved another milestone as the love for Encanto continues to spread. The runaway hit song, ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’, has managed to top the UK Singles Charts with 6.3 million streams this week alone!

Since Encanto doesn’t feature a villain, ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ is the closest thing the movie has to a traditional villain song, in which the movie’s characters sing about their perception of Bruno and his mystical powers. It features the vocal talents of Rhenzy Feliz, Adassa, Stephanie Beatriz, Mauro Castillo, Diane Guerrero and Carolina Gaitan.

The song isn’t the first Disney song to reach number 1 in the UK charts (that belongs to Gareth Gates’ cover of ‘Suspicious Minds‘ for Lilo & Stitch), but it is the company’s first original song to reach the top spot.

“We’re delighted to have our first original Disney Number 1 single of all time with ‘We Don’t Talk About Bruno’ from Encanto. It’s another captivating, infectious track written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and we’re so proud of the success of the movie and the soundtrack. Not forgetting ‘Surface Pressure’, another hit from the soundtrack which is in at Number 5 also. Having two tracks in the Top 5 is more than we ever could have exptected… may the success continue!”
