Disneyland Paris Has Apologized For Cast Member Breaking Up Proposal in Viral Video

Disneyland Paris has been caught up in a recent viral video that shows a Disneyland Paris Cast Member breaking up a proposal in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at the theme park.

The couple, as seen in the video below were standing on a performance stage that is off-limits to guests. The original poster of the video claims the couple had permission from a female cast member to be on the stage. However, per Disney’s guest safety regulations and protocols that would not be true.

“We regret how this was handled. We have apologized to the couple involved and offered to make it right,” A Disney spokesperson confirmed to Newsweek.

My thoughts are this, the cast member should have attempted this very differently. Use courteous intent and let the guests know they are in a restricted area and need to be moved, and if that doesn’t work get security involved. No one should be seizing others property, whether the value of the property amount. Now, this doesn’t mean the couple is innocent, they were on a stage where they shouldn’t have been in the first place. They could’ve politely asked a cast member if they could be in that area and if not, Disney would have given them proper suggestions on where to go.
