‘Tangled’ Spinner Ride for Walt Disney Studios Paris

As Disneyland Paris continues to gather more and more dust in regards to attractions (nothing new since 2006!), construction continues to flourish over at Walt Disney Studios with The Kingdom of Arendelle and the park’s lake. And now, we have some information on another new attraction coming to the park.

Originally released in 2010, Tangled was a big hit and Rapunzel-retelling quickly gained representation within the Disney parks with bathrooms in the Magic Kingdom and character meet and greets at all of the Disneyland parks around the world. However, Tangled is only just starting to get its own attractions, starting with a mini-land within Tokyo Disney Sea’s Fantasy Springs.

A Tangled attraction has been rumoured for Disneyland Paris for years, and thanks to OutsideEars we have our first look at the upcoming attraction.

The Tangled spinner ride will be an off-the-shelf spinning attraction manufactured by Italian ride manufacturer, Zamperla. Although similar to the classic Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups, this version will have boats instead of cups. The ride building will be filled with hundreds of lanterns and it will overlook a pond, which is sure to be a popular photo location at nighttime.

The attraction will be placed beside Toy Story Playland and will be joined by some new bathrooms, possibly a replica of those found at the Magic Kingdom in Florida. The off-the-shelf nature of the attraction is disappointing but rather fitting for the area since Toy Story Playland is filled with them.

Although not officially confirmed, we can probably expect an announcement during the parks panel at D23. Hopefully, with some more exciting news for the only European Disney resort?
