Just in from D23‘s Walt Disney Animation panel: the first look at the new original animated series Iwájú (EE-Wah-Joh) .
The series is slated to hit Disney+ sometime next year.
Plot details were kept under wraps, but in a tweet shared by Disney+ shortly after the presentation, it was revealed that the series will be a “journey into a futuristic version of Lagos, Nigeria.”
The image looks like something Disney hasn’t dared to do before, so we’re excited.
