‘Ant-Man 3’ Writer Jeff Loveness to Write ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will feature the return of Jonathan Major’s Kang, who is the new big bad of the MCU. Well, Marvel Studios is bringing one of the Ant-Man 3 writers to tackle the next event film.

According to Deadline, Jeff Loveness will pen Avengers: The Kang Dynasty for Marvel. He will write the script for the project that already has Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton set to direct. Additional details regarding the film are being kept under wraps and was not mentioned during Marvel Studios’ panel at Disney’s D23 Expo.

The Quantumania footage that was shown at Disney’s D23 Expo wowed the crowd and has internally tested very well. Loveness was an obvious choice to direct the ensemble Avengers movie.

For those unfamiliar, in the comics the Kang Dynasty features Kang the Conqueror establishing his dominion over the entire Earth with the help of his son Marcus – who took up the mantle of the Scarlet Centurion. The Avengers join forces with the respective forces of the United Nations to try and stop him.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will release in theaters on May 2, 2025. It will be followed later that year by Avengers: Secret Wars in November. Secret Wars will close out the recently titled Multiverse Saga revealed at Comic-Con back in July.
