By now most Disney fans have heard about the animatronic known as Buzzy, who was stolen from Walt Disney World and who later reappeared on the black market. If you haven’t heard of the controversial theft, no worries. A new documentary about it is in the works.
According to Deadline, Jackass Forever director Jeff Tremaine is developing a film “chronicling the 30-year history of wrongdoing and debauchery at Walt Disney World Result” and how it led to the theft.
The documentary will be titled Stolen Kingdom, and Tremaine will produce the film. First-time filmmakers Joshua Bailey and Sam Fraser will helm it.
At this time it’s unclear if Disney will be involved in the film’s production. Given it’s subject matter, it seems more likely that the film might wind up consisting of interviews of ex-employees and their experiences.
