It looks like the third film in the Venom trilogy is coming sooner than expected as it has now found its director! According to Deadline, Venom 3 will be directed by Kelly Marcel. Marcel is most well known for her writing credits, as she co-wrote the first two Venom films. She also wrote Saving Mr. Banks and Fifty Shades of Grey. This will be her first time in the directors chair, however her and Venom star Tom Hardy have been collaborating on the Venom story since the beginning.
Each Venom film has had a different director, with Ruben Fleischer helming the first film and more recently, Andy Serkis helmed the sequel. Venom 3 currently only has Tom Hardy attached, and it is unknown who will join him in the sequel. Could Spider-Man finally make an appearance?
