Emma Watson Reportedly On The List Of Frontrunners For Female Lead In ‘Black Widow’

Marvel’s Black Widow is gearing up for production soon, with a start date happening in June. Production is expected to last until October.

Casting is starting to begin and new information has surfaced from our friends over at That Hashtag Show. They’re reporting that Emma Watson (Harry PotterBeauty and the BeastPerks of being a Wallflower) is headlining a list of front-runners for an undisclosed role in the film. It is for a lead female role that will be on par with Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow.

No word on if this is true or not but we can only hope! It would be nice to see her in a Marvel film, nonetheless a Black Widow Film.

The film is expected to release May 1, 2020 but that is subject to change.

Cate Shortland is attached to direct with Ned Benson and Jac Schaeffer penning the script. Production is expected to start at Pinewood Studios UK in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, England. The film will be under the working title Blue Bayou during production.
