The official Avatar account posted a brand new behind the scenes photo from the Avatar sequels that fans can finally start getting excited for. Avatar, which premiered in 2009, is coming back with four anticipated films starting in 2021.
The photo shows James Cameron directing an underwater scene with what looks like an RDA facility or equipment going down. Jon Landau, who produces the film, along with titles such as Titanic and Alita: Battle Angel, took the photo and he’s expected to post more sneak peeks coming soon.
Wave machines, blazing fire, and @JimCameron wielding a 3D camera — just another day on the set of the Avatar sequels!
Thanks to producer @JonLandau for capturing the photo. Be sure to follow him for future sneak peeks. 👀 pic.twitter.com/MxuPlOIQ3e
