Elsa will not have a girlfriend in Frozen 2, confirms film’s songwriter

Despite Disney recently confirming that Frozen 2 will explain the origin of Elsa’s powers (and more!), it looks like Elsa isn’t going to be crowned Disney’s first LGBTQ+ princess anytime soon. Frozen 2 songwriter Kristen Anderson-Lopez has told IGN that as per the first film, Elsa will not be romantically linked to anyone in Frozen 2 – effectively smashing rumors that a girlfriend was on the cards for the Queen of Arendelle in the highly-anticipated sequel.

Disney stars dominate Variety’s Young Hollywood Impact Report 2019

A galaxy of young Disney stars has been recognized on this year’s Young Hollywood Impact Report 2019 – an annual report released by Variety. Variety writes:  “The eclectic talents on Variety’s annual Power of Young Hollywood list have all made an impact on showbiz in the past year. They may be singers, actors or YouTube stars, but they share one thing in common: show-stopping creativity.” 

Is a live-action Return of Jafar in the works?

Disney is reportedly working on a follow-up film to Guy Ritchie’s live-action Aladdin remake. At this stage, the alleged project is just being called Aladdin 2, but according to We Got This Covered, the plot closely resembles that of the cult-classic Return of Jafar – the 1994  direct-to-video animated sequel to Aladdin (1992).
