About The Site

In 2013 Skyler Shuler wanted to share his knowledge of Disney films and the magic behind the scenes. So he created the Instagram account Disney Film Facts and the page quickly garnered a following. Soon after a Twitter was created, and not long after that was born. The page has been lucky enough to garner a wonderful following of such amazing Disney and movie fans, as well as been sourced in some of the biggest entertainment sites in the world. We are fans just like you, so meet the team and follow us on social media.

Skyler Shuler


Skyler is the Editor-In-Chief of the website where he frequently shares his thoughts on Disney (/non-Disney) film news, rumors about upcoming franchises, their directors and more. His commentary and expansive insight into the world of the making of films can be heard on the weekly shows The DCast, and The Podketeers.

Derek Cornell


Derek is an entertainment journalist and freelance photographer based out of Los Angeles, California. For the last six years he has been covering everything in cinema and has written for various news outlets, such as The Cinema Insider, That Hashtag Show, and Full Circle Cinema and is now the Head Writer and Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Dis Insider. Josh Sharpe

Cami Cabrales


Cami Cabrales is a full-time student studying English and film at Arizona State University. She loves everything Disney, especially Marvel! Her love for writing and Disney is what drove her straight to The DisInsider. When Cami isn’t drowning in homework or writing for the website, she’s probably running around Disneyland. Julia is a freelance entertainment writer who has many loves in the entertainment world, but when it comes to Disney most of her favorites lie among the animation and Marvel projects. Paola Harvey


Paola is a freelance filmmaker who spends way too much time at the movies. Along with being a DisInsider contributor, she is also a writer and podcaster for Geek Vibes Nations. If she is not catching an early screening of the latest flick, she is probably at home snuggling with her Goldendoodle puppy or wanting adventure in the great wide somewhere with her husband. Being a Disney enthusiast, she is extremely passionate about their animated movies as well as Pixar’s films. Kaila Spencer is a full-time student studying communications. She’s a huge fan of Disney and Marvel, but especially Star Wars. Shawn is just a normal dad and papa who has a huge love for Disney and is so excited to share it with everyone. He has been married to his wife for 26 years and has 4 amazing kids and 1 awesome grandson. Shawn can be heard as one of the hosts of The DisInsider’s official podcast The DCast every week.

Sean Nasuti


Sean Nasuti (@filmfan2013) is a freelance film critic who writes reviews, retrospectives, editorials, and Top 10 lists for his personal blog, Rhode Island Movie Corner. Like many others, Disney played a major role in his childhood and that has since evolved into an unabashed appreciation for everything to do with the House of Mouse. This then led to the fulfillment of a life-long dream in 2018 when he became a Cast Member at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and while he’s currently not working at the Happiest Place on Earth, he still visits the parks on a regular basis. When it comes to Disney and film, he can go on record stating that he’s seen all 57 of Walt Disney Animation’s feature films and is also an avid MCU fanatic.

Nick Hidalgo


Nick is an aspiring voice actor and actor. Lover of Marvel and Star Wars, Disney and interconnected universes. Victoria is your basic, average Disney girl who’s here to save the world. She is a full time preschool teacher and a part time annual pass holder who’s heart lies at Walt Disney World. She is the creator and host of the Disney Tea with V podcast and blog. Ben has been working as a journalist and presenter in London for almost a decade now. Throughout his career, he has interviewed A-listers like Zoe Saldana, Luke Evans, Kristen Wiig, Steve Carell, Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, Antonio Banderas, Benedict Cumberbatch, Justin Bieber, One Direction, Naomi Scott – and even British royalty! He specializes in entertainment reporting and writing for children, teens, and families.
