Disney+ Debuts ‘Jim Henson Idea Man’ Trailer

Disney+ has unveiled the official trailer for the forthcoming documentary titled Jim Henson Idea Man.

Directed by Ron Howard, an Academy Award®-winning filmmaker, Jim Henson Idea Man delves into the life and work of the esteemed artist and visionary, Jim Henson, who is also recognized as a Disney Legend.

Throughout his illustrious 36-year career, Henson brought to life a plethora of beloved characters, including timeless Muppets such as Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, as well as the iconic residents of Sesame Street, among them Big Bird, Grover, Cookie Monster, and Bert and Ernie. Additionally, Henson left his mark as a director with cherished fantasy films like The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth.

Crafted in collaboration with the Henson family, Jim Henson Idea Man offers an unprecedented exploration of Henson’s groundbreaking career and intricate personal life.

Featuring never-before-seen personal archival footage, photographs, sketches, and excerpts from Henson’s personal diaries, along with interviews with those who knew him intimately, the documentary presents a definitive portrait of one of the most influential and unconventional creators in the world.

The original documentary is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on May 31st.
