Disney’s Hercules Opening in London’s West End in 2025

Disney’s beloved animated classic, Hercules, is making its English-language debut in Europe with a newly announced West End production.

Based on the 1997 film, the musical follows the Greek god Hercules, who was kidnapped and raised among mortals. After discovering his true history, Hercules must perform a rite of passage to prove himself worthy to live among the gods.

The show has received mixed reviews and has been reworked since it first premiered in 2019. Alan Menken and David Zippel return to write the music and lyrics, with direction by Casey Nicholaw, who also co-choreographed with Tanisha Scott.

‘Disney’s Hercules’ will play at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, a venue already familiar with Disney musicals having played host to the London revival of ‘Mary Poppins’ and recently, ‘Frozen the Musical.’
