Disney Signs Streaming Deal With The Makers Of ‘Money Heist’

Looks like Disney really is all about the dinero…

The Walt Disney Company is once again expanding its global reach. This time through a deal with the Spanish media group Atresmedia.

For those who aren’t familiar with the company, it’s most known for producing the popular series “Casa de papel”, known in America as “Money Heist.”

The deal, which pertains to streaming, will allow Disney+ customers in Spain to watch the series on the platform. According to the company, the agreement grants Disney+ co-exclusive rights to a wide range of Atresmedia productions, expanding its Spanish-made content catalogue in the process.

However, it’s unclear if this deal will allow the two to collaborate on new productions in the future.

This is the second major international streaming deal the company has made this year. Just a few months ago, Disney announced a similar deal with Britain’s ITV to include each other’s productions on their respective streaming platforms.
