Fede Alvarez revitalized the Alien franchise for Disney with Alien: Romulus. The director recently said he will be involved on the sequel but only as a producer and that they are searching for a new director. Well, the studio may have found their guy.
According to Nexus Point News, 20th Century Studios is looking at Pig and A Quiet Place: Day One director Michael Sarnoski to direct. While it is still early days sources say that he is the studios and Alvarez’s top choice for the job.
Alien: Romulus was set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986). The film stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu as six downtrodden young space colonists who encounter hostile creatures while scavenging a derelict space station in which they plan to navigate to another planet.
