Disney Studios is gearing up to start production on their live-action adaptation Mulan early next year. No cast announcements have been officially reported as of yet but we do know who will work on the films stunts.
Allan Poppleton and Erika Takacs the team behind the stunts for such films as San Andreas, Central Intelligence, and The Wolverine have been brought on to handle the stunts for Mulan. Poppleton will also serve as the films fight coordinator.
This is fantastic news for the films potential action scenes. It has been rumored that Mulan will have no musical elements in this adaptation, but director Niki Caro has nixed those rumors.
Mulan will start production in January 2018, with shooting to take place in China, Australia, and New Zealand. Expect casting announcements soon.
Mulan is slated to release sometime in 2019.
