Disney’s Live-Action PRINCE CHARMING Movie Finds It’s Director!

A little over a year ago it was announced that Disney was in development on a live-action adaptation of Prince Charming with Matt Fogel (Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son) writing the initial script. Since then we have heard nothing on the project until now.

Perks Of Being A Wall Flower helmer Stephen Chbosky is set to rewrite and direct the film. Chbosky’s next film Wonder hits theaters on Friday.

The movie reunites Chbosky with David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films/TV, who produced Wonder. Hoberman and Lieberman are producing Charming along with Tripp Vinson (San Andreas).

The story takes a look at the iconic prince from the point of view of his brother who never quite lived up to the family name.

The film will have no relation to Disney’s 2015 hit live-action remake of Cinderella that starred Richard Madden as Charming.

Chbosky wrote Disney’s box office hit remake of Beauty And The Beast, which is currently the highest grossing movie of 2017 so far at $1.2 billion.
