Production on Disney’s live-action adaptation of Mulan is expected to begin in early 2018, and their is a new addition to the production team.
Sean Andrew Faden who was the visual effects supervisor on this years Power Rangers will take on the same role for Mulan.
This could possibly mean we see Mushu make his way into the film, but that is not a confirmation. He will likely over see a lot of the battle scenes that take place in the film.
Faden is no stranger to the Disney Company as he worked on CG for Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest, Sky High, and National Treasure.
Mulan will start production in January 2018 under the direction of Niki Caro (McFarland USA), with shooting to take place in China, Australia, and New Zealand. Expect casting announcements soon.
Mulan is slated to release sometime in 2019.
