Hold onto your butts! Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders are set to reprise their roles as Nick Fury and Maria Hill in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Recently it was reported by Vulture that Jackson and Smulders have been cast, in the web slinger’s latest adventure. The last time the characters of Nick Fury and Maria Hill have been seen in the MCU, was back in April in Avengers: Infinity War. In which, some rather unfortunate things occurred regarding their character’s fate post “snap”.
As of now, it is still yet to be confirmed whether or not Spider-Man: Far From Home will take place before or after the events of Avengers: Infinity War. If the Spider-Man sequel is set to take place after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, then it is safe to assume both Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill) will find a way back to the land of the living. Jackson is also set to appear as a younger version of his character Nick Fury in Marvel’s Captain Marvel (March 8th, 2019).
Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to swing into theaters; July 5th, 2019.
