‘Frozen 2’ Release Date Pushed Up

Disney has announced that Frozen 2 will now be released in theaters on Nov. 22, 2019. The film was originally slated to premiere about a week later, on November 27, 2019.

The films original voice cast Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa), Josh Gad (Olaf), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff), Santino Fontana (Hans), and Alan Tudyk (Duke) are all expected to return. Along with Wood, Sterling K. Brown is a new addition to the cast.

Lee’s directing partner Chris Buck is also on board. Peter Del Vecho is producing. Allison Schroeder the screenwriter behind Hidden Figures and Christopher Robin is assisting Lee with writing duties.  As of now the plot is unknown. We did report a while back that Anna and Elsa’s mom may have a role in the upcoming film.

Oscar-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez also confirmed ongoing work on Frozen 2, saying they’ve dug deeper into the characters in the world of Arendelle. They’ve even recorded a song with Kristen Bell – but it’s all still under wraps.

Frozen 2 is set to hit theaters on November 27, 2019.
