The Pixar short Bao was awarded Best Animated Short at the 2019 Academy Awards.
Bao is the first Pixar short to be directed by a woman. Domee Shi, writer and director of Bao, accepted the award alongside producer Becky Neiman-Cobb. Bao premiered ahead of Incredibles 2.
Bao is about a Chinese mother who receives an unexpected second chance at motherhood when she makes a baozi dumpling that comes to life as a boy.
Bao can be seen on the 4K, Blu-ray and DVD versions of Incredibles 2 and can be bought on Youtube and in the Google Play store. It will also be featured on the Pixar Short Films Collection, Vol. 3 Blu-ray.
