‘The Simpsons’ Heading to D23 Expo

In surprising news, Disney’s D23 Expo announced a short while ago that The Simpsons will be making their debut at the annual convention held in Anaheim, California.

On Saturday, August 24th, the series is scheduled to have a panel about its upcoming season at 10am inside the D23 Expo Arena. Creator Matt Groening, executive producers Al Jean and Matt Selman, supervising director Mike B. Anderson, and show stars Nancy Cartwright and Yeardley Smith will be in attendance. Along with the panel, an exclusive collectable from the show will be given to everyone in attendance, plus a chance to meet Matt Groening and the rest of the panelists during a one-hour autograph signing session.

The Simpsons is just one of many properties Disney now owns due to their acquisition of Fox back in March. The company currently has plans to make more Planet of the Apes and Alien films, as well as bring Fantastic Four and X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
