Josh Gad Says ‘Frozen 2’ Songs Will Be Catchier Than The First Films

August 13, 2019Skyler Shuler

For those of you who have had “Let It Go” stuck in your head (for better or worse) for the last 6 years may be in store for some exciting news regarding Frozen 2 According to Josh Gad.

Gad recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and the Olaf actor revealed that the highly-anticipated sequels soundtrack will blow audiences away.

“Can I just say something outrageous? I’m not even sure if I’m allowed to say this, but can I just say I think the songs are even better in this movie. Now I’ve set the bar so high, but they are so good. Bobby Lopez and Kristin Lopez, who wrote the original, they came back and did songs that are just [phenomenal]. That’s the big concern. How do you top those [Frozen] songs. They’re even catchier, I’m sorry to say.”

This news should excite fans, as the same Oscar Winning songwriters have returned, and it has already been revealed that there are 4 brand new songs coming to Frozen 2.

The films original voice cast Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa), Josh Gad (Olaf), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff), Santino Fontana (Hans), and Alan Tudyk (Duke) all return. Along with new additions to the cast Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown.

Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are on board to direct. Peter Del Vecho is producing. Allison Schroeder the screenwriter behind Hidden Figures and Christopher Robin assisted Lee with writing duties. We did report a while back that Anna and Elsa’s mom may have a role in the upcoming film.

Frozen 2 is set to hit theaters on November 22, 2019.
