Walt Disney World is set to bring the world of Moana to Epcot. Bob Chapek made the announcement during tonight’s media preview.
The attraction will be called “Journey of Water” and as of right now details are scarce but Chapek promised that more will be revealed on Sunday during the parks and resorts panel.
Released in 2016, The film follows Moana an adventurous teenager sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once‑mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way‑finder. Together they sail across the open ocean on an action‑packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds. Along the the way.
Moana directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Princess & the Frog). Featured the voice talents of Dwayne Johnson, Auli’i Cravalho, Jemaine Clement, Rachel House, Temuera Morrison, Nicole Scherzinger, Alan Tudyk.
