Mark Mylod, the director for the hit HBO series Succession is in talks to direct the food thriller The Menu for Disney’s Searchlight Pictures.
According to Variety, Adam McKay who is an executive producer and has also directed some episodes of Succession will produce The Menu, which is in the world of eccentric culinary culture. The movie follows a couple who visit an exclusive restaurant on a remote island where an acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu.
Succession writer Will Tracy and Late Night with Seth Meyers writer, Seth Reiss penned the script.

McKay will produce via his Hyperobject Industries banner, along with Betsy Koch (Vice). DanTram Nguyen and Zahra Phillips will oversee for Searchlight.
Alexander Payne (Sideways) was previously attached to direct, with Emma Stone (Cruella) and Michael Fassbender (X-Men franchise) previously in talks to star.
