‘High Republic’ Series in The Works, Said to be ”Stranger Things in Space”

The High Republic contunues to be an era of the Star Wars universe to be explored. Now, thanks to a new report from Cinelinx, a new live-action series is in the works.

According to the site the High Republic series would feature a younger generation of heroes in what is being described to the site as ”Stranger Things in space.” The series would be for Disney+ and led by a group of preteens to teens, hence the Stranger Things comparison. This would be massive departure from the adult-led movies and series’.

As of now, this report has yet to be confirmed by Lucasfilm/Disney+. It is also unknown who is writing or directing the series but the site says a “Luminous Team” of authors on board to help with the story.
