I hope you’re ready for Comic Con. The event will be coming to the Javits Center from 6th-9th October. With mere days to go, let’s take a look at the Marvel Entertainment lineup, and what we can expect at this spectacular event.

Things to Do

Want to get in on the livestream broadcast from Marvel? Or maybe you’re interested in some giveaways and signings? Then check out the Marvel booth (#2057) to get in on the action. And if you’re looking for some exclusive New York Comic Con merch, a Marvel Unlimited subscription, or something extra special, the Marvel merch booth (#2261) has everything you need.

Don’t forget to check out Artist Alley for your chance to meet some of the biggest names in comics. You can also have a look at some of the exciting panels that artists and creators will be hosting. While Marvel will have their own special events, the power of Marvel characters stretches far in this world, and they’ll be the topic of many other panels as well.

So be sure to check out panels about Black Panther, how Spider-Man became an unknown physics teacher, or join Samira Ahmed and Preeti Chhibber as they talk about writing their favourite Marvel characters.

Marvel Entertainment Line-up

While a whole lot is going on throughout the weekend, Marvel Entertainment has its own lineup of special panels to check out. With a look at what’s to come, the production process of Marvel comics, and what it’s like for Women working in the industry, you’ll definitely find something to pique your interest.

Thursday, October 6th

Captain America: Cold War – A This Week in Marvel Special Event

Want to be a part of a recording of the This Week in Marvel podcast? Then look no further. Join co-hosts Ryan Penagos and Lorraine Cink for this special, live recording. They’ll be looking into the future of the First Avenger, as well as the upcoming Captain America crossover, Captain America: Cold War. They’ll be joined on stage by a fantastic panel, including Collin Kelly & Jackson Lanzing (Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty), Tochi Onyebuchi (Captain America: Symbol of Truth) and Marvel Comics Editor Alanna Smith.

Friday, October 7th

Marvel Comics: Marvel Fanfare with C.B. Cebulski

If you have some burning questions for the people behind Marvel Comics, then this is the panel for you. Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski will be joined by a super secret panel of special guests to answer anything and everything Marvel comics. And make sure you stick around for the end of the panel for an exclusive giveaway!

Marvel: Books of Future Past
6:00pm-7:00pm EST, Room: 408

Take a look into how some of the best publishing partners produce Marvel’s most exciting books. Ryan Penagos (Marvel VP and Creative Executive) Sven Larsen (Marvel’s VP of Licensed Publishing) Charlie Kochman (Abrams Editor) Scott Dunbier (IDW Editor), James Rose (Folio Society Editor) and Elda Rotor (Penguin Classics Publisher) will take to the stage to talk about how they bring together original graphic novels, museum quality archival editions and more.

Saturday, October 8th

Marvel’s Voices: The World Outside Your Window

Join writer and podcast host Angelique Roche, and some of Marvel’s most celebrated creators for this special panel. Listen to them talk about their variety of characters and stories that reflect the world outside your window. Angelique will be joined on stage by Eve L. Ewing (Monica Rambeau: Photon), John Jennings (My Super Hero is Black), Steve Orlando (Marauders), Cody Ziglar (Miles Morales: Spider-Man) and Sarah Brundtland (Marvel’s Voices Editor). They’ll gather to celebrate Marvel’s Voices and talk about their creative processes, and professional journeys, and look at diversity in the Marvel Universe. Also, stick around as attendees will receive a special giveaway!

Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing
4:00pm-5:00pm EST, Room: 405

If there’s one Marvel panel to attend, this is it. See what Marvel has in store for the future, and be there for the announcements of the hot new titles. We’ll hear from Nick Lowe (Marvel Comics Executive Editor), and C.B. Cebulski (Editor in chief) as they lead a host of literary legends in this panel. Guests include Gerry Duggan (Dark Web: X-Men, Invincible Iron Man), Jed MacKay (Mary Jane & Black Cat, Timeless), Zeb Wells (Amazing Spider-Man, Dark Web) and so much more. And, if you stay until the end of the panel there’ll be an exclusive giveaway.

Sunday, October 9th

Women of Marvel
10:30am-11:30am EST, Room 405

Check out some of the women who make Marvel what it is today! Plus, find out more about what it’s like for women in the industry. Writer and Podcast host Angelique Roche leads this panel and is joined by Ellie Pyle (Digital Media Executive Director), Eve L. Ewing (Monica Rambeau: Photon), Lauren Bisom (Senior Editor) and Judy Stephens (Women of Marvel podcast co-host). Find out more about the incredible Women of Marvel, and what’s next for woman-led titles. Plus, there’s also a special giveaway at the end of the panel, so be sure to stick around!
