Angela Lansbury, Iconic Voice Of Mrs. Potts In ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Dies At 96

It is with great sorrow that we report that legendary actress Angela Lansbury has passed away at the age of 96.

In a statement to the press, the actress’ family said, “The children of Dame Angela Lansbury are sad to announce that their mother died peacefully in her sleep at home in Los Angeles at 1:30 AM today, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, just five days shy of her 97th birthday.”

With a career spanning stage and screen for over 7 decades, Lansbury has played everything from a spy to detective and even a singing teapot! One of her most famous roles was Mrs. Potts in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

She was the beautiful voice behind the film’s arguably even more iconic titular theme song.
