Thursday, those attending Disney’s CinemaCon panel were treated to a very special treat. Not only did they get a good luck at all of the studio’s upcoming theatrical films, they even got to see extended previews of some of those films.
Included among those previews was the first 35 minutes of Inside Out 2. While 35 minutes might seem too long, some in attendance say that it actually teased some of the film’s other surprises.

One such surprise is that some of the film’s other secret emotions are going to appear in different animated styles.
According to Agents of Fandom, Ron Funches plays one of those emotions. His character is named reportedly named Roofy, and he’ll appear in 2D, despite the film being 3D-animated.
Set a few years after the first film, this entry follows several new emotions that surface in Riley’s mind during her teenage years.
Amy Poehler, Lewis Black, and Phyllis Smith will all return to voice Joy, Anger, and Sadness respectively, but filling in for Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling are Tony Hale and Liza Lapira as Fear and Disgust!
Newcomers to the cast include Maya Hawke as Anxiety, the previously announced new arrival bound to shake up everything in headquarters and beyond. A bundle of frazzled energy, Anxiety enthusiastically ensures Riley’s prepared for every possible negative outcome.
Ayo Edebiri also joins the cast as Envy! She’s perpetually jealous of everything everyone else has, and she’s not afraid to pine over it.
Ennui, who’s voiced by Adèle Exarchopoulos, will also join the gang. She’s described as “bored and lethargic with a well-practiced eye-roll.” Ennui will reportedly add the perfect amount of teenage apathy to Riley’s personality, when she feels like it.
One of the other emotions joining the roster is Embarrassment, voiced by Paul Walter Hauser. He likes to lay low, which isn’t easy for this burly guy with a bright blush-pink complexion.
Inside Out 2 releases only in theaters June 14, 2024.
