After years of speculation, last week OutsidEars reported that Disney would be renaming Walt Disney Studios Park at the Disneyland Paris Resort. Today, Disney confirmed that the park will receive a brand-new name.

RUMOR: Disney to Invest €15 Billion into Disneyland Paris

When it opened in 2002, Walt Disney Studios was a survivor of waves of budget cuts which transformed MGM-Disney Studios Europe into a shadow of its original design. The park was small, had only three attractions and was often joked about its resemblance to a car park.

With Disney purchasing the resort in 2017, they immediately began revitalising the park with phases of new attractions and in 2018 announced the park’s first major multi-phased expansion plan starting with Avengers Campus’ take over of the Backlot area. This will be followed by the new promenade, lake and The Kingdom of Arendelle, a Frozen-themed land similar to the recently opened version at Hong Kong Disneyland.

And with the complete revitalisation of Studio 1 (the entrance to the park) and rumours of a Lion King land and a version of Pandora: The World of Avatar, the studio theme has become mostly redundant, so a name change has been speculated for many years.

Popular suggestions have included: Disney’s CineMagique Park and Disney’s Hollywood Adventure Park, but look no further because the parks’ new name will officially be:

Disney Adventure World! The new name and logo art was spotted by ED92Magic on Twitter, who found it on the official Disneyland Paris website before it was taken down.

It does seem like a… unique choice but what do you think of the new name? Let us know!
