Imagine a cross between Stephen King’s Cujo and Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park. Well, that’s exactly how the next film in the Poohniverse, Bambi: The Reckoning is being described!
Not only has Bloody Disgusting shared the first official poster for the film, it’s got some fun new details to share about the film’s plot too.
Directed by Dan Allen, the film’s official synopsis is as follows:
“After a mother and son get in a car wreck, they soon become hunted by Bambi, a mutated grief-stricken deer on a deadly rampage seeking revenge for the death of his mother.”
Speaking with the outlet, Allen had this said to, “Expect bloodshed, tears and rabbits… and one mean killer deer. At last, the British countryside will finally get its Godzilla.”

Now, it goes without saying that the upcoming adaptation is not affiliated with Disney in any way, shape, or form. Still it’s association with Disney and the use of copyright to create a villain out of the usually heroic character is why we chose to report on it.
Bambi: The Reckoning is written by Rhys Warrington, and produced by Scott Jeffrey and Rhys Frake-Waterfield under Jagged Edge Productions (the same studio who created Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and its sequel).
The film stars Roxanne Mckee (Game of Thrones), Tom Mulheron, Nicola Wright (Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey), Samira Mighty (Beauty and the Beast), Alex Cooke (Blood Vessel), and Russell Geoffrey Banks (Ghost House) also star.
The film is expected to be released early next year ahead of the release of the highly anticipated Poohniverse crossover.
