‘The Mouse Trap 2’ Officially Announced, Minnie Mouse To Appear

Just a few weeks ago, in our interview with producer and star of The Mouse Trap, Simon Phillips, he teased that if a sequel to the film was ever made another classic Disney character would appear alongside his iteration of Mickey Mouse. Today, we finally got confirmation that the character he was talking about is Minnie Mouse.

In a new movie poster making the rounds, it has been revealed that Mickey’s classic female companion Minnie Mouse will be making her debut in a sequel to the film currently titled The Mouse Trap: Welcome to the Mickeyverse.

Production is currently underway for a planned 2025 release.

You can check out the poster below.

Directed by Jamie Bailey, the first film follows a young woman by the name of Alex who works at an indoor amusement park and arcade. One evening, she is told that she must host a late night event for a mysterious group. Unbeknownst to her, this mysterious group is actually her group of friends. The event is actually a pre-birthday bash for her. Just as the festivities begin, however, the group finds itself trapped inside the venue with a killer wearing a Steamboat Willie mask (Phillips).

It’s available on VOD and for physical purchase now.
