Guess it’s literally “game over.”
After two solid years, today Kabam, the parent company of the popular mobile game Disney Mirrorverse, announced that servers would be shutting down.
A statement released on the game’s official website reads:
“After countless adventures in Disney Mirrorverse with our cast of evolved heroes and villains, this current chapter of the Mirrorverse saga is soon coming to a close. With this conclusion to the game’s storyline, we have made the decision to sunset the Disney Mirrorverse game for both iOS and Android and will be shutting down all servers on December 16, 2024.”
So, in less than 3 months the game will be no more. However, if you have not had the chance to play the game before it ends you can’t. As of today, the game has been removed from both Apple and Android app stores. Additionally, all in-app purchases have been permanently disabled.
If you are currently playing the game, Kabam encourages you to complete the final storyline before the game is sunset forever.
The game featured evolved and amplified versions of beloved Disney and Pixar characters and combined RPG with combat and fighting gameplay.
Now, this isn’t the first time Kabam has discontinued a game. Just last year it shut down its Transformers game, Forged to Fight. Before that, it abruptly shut down the spin-off (and ambitious expansion) of its most popular game Marvel Contest of Champions.
Despite the company’s track record, none of its other games look to be impacted by the shutdown of Mirrorverse – at least, for now…
