Rumor: Rita Ora Nabs Villain Role in Mystery Marvel Project

Rita Ora recently played a villainous role as the Queen of Hearts in Descendants: The Rise of Red. Now, a new rumor has surfaced, which hints at her return to Disney for a bigger franchise.

According to The Sun, Ora has signed onto a mystery Marvel project.A source told the tabloid that the presenter let her casting slip while at the Fashion Awards on Monday night, saying, “Rita was dressed like a baddie from a Marvel film, and when someone commented on it she let slip she has a part in a new Marvel film.” The source also added, “She confirmed she had landed the role of someone evil and that she was super excited about getting stuck into it.”

It should be noted, The Sun is a tabloid and it is extremely rare that any “exclusive casting information” turns out correct from them but that doesn’t mean they are never correct.

Rita Ora has a great relationship with Disney and is already signed on to return as the Queen of Hearts in the Fifth Descendants film, which begins shooting next year.

Additionally, adding more fuel to the speculation fire, Ora is married to Taika Waititi director on Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder. Waititi’s Disney collab also includes roles and directing credits on Lightyear, The Mandalorian, Free Guy, and Next Goal Wins. He is also still attached to direct a Star Wars movie at Lucasfilm and Tower of Terror for Disney.
