Following Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness fans have speculated when we might see the character. Well, According to Benedict Cumberbatch, the wait is looking to be longer than hoped.
While speaking with Variety, Cumberbatch revealed that Doctor Strange will not be appearing in 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday. “Is that a spoiler?” he asks. “Fuck it!” Cumberbatch alluded that when the studio pivoted from the Jonathan Majors-led Avengers: Kang Dynasty the story did not align with his character.
However, reveals that Doctor Strange is “in a lot” of Avengers: Secret Wars, which will hit theaters in 2027. “He’s quite central to where things might go,” Cumberbatch continued.
Lastly, the actor also confirmed recent rumors that Marvel Studios is in development on Doctor Strange 3 but wouldn’t dive into any details,
