BREAKING NEWS for X-Men fans!
Jake Schreier who recently director the latest MCU installment Thunderbolts* aka The New Avengers is in talks to direct a new “X-Men” for the MCU .
The news came from Deadline from their very own Justin Kroll.
With the success of Thunderbolts* both critically and financially, it would make sense for Marvel Studios to have Emmy Award-winning director Schreier to direct another Marvel team. It’s also worth adding that Schreier is a massive fan of the misfit mutants.

The MCU’s “X-Men” currently has a draft written by Michael Lesslie ,who recently penned Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
According to Deadline, Schreier is only in talks. The specifics of the deal don’t seem to be public just yet.
With some of the original X-Men set to return in next year’s Avengers: Doomsday, we anticipate more X-Men news in the near future.
