In a surprise turn of events, ABC’s next Bachelorette will be a complete stranger to Bachelor Nation.
In past seasons, it has become almost tradition for the star to be a former contender from a previous season of The Bachelor. This year, however, the woman who will be searching for love will be an up-and-coming reality star.
Taylor Frankie Paul, one of the many stars of the hit Hulu reality show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has officially been announced as the next Bachelorette.

The announcement was made on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast. It comes just one day after the host teased a big announcement.
Paul is a single mother of three, a first for any star of a Bachelor series, but she is also credited as one of the creators of the digital community known as “#Momtok.” Her story – and drama – is partly what led to the creation of the Hulu series.
The new season of “The Bachelorette” will premiere next year on ABC and stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. But before that, Paul will next be seen in the third season of “Mormon Wives” which will debut on the streamer in November.
