The social media embargo for Disney Animation’s latest original film, Zootopia 2, has just been lifted.

Zootopia 2 will see the return of beloved characters Judy Hopps, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin, and Nick Wilde, voiced by Jason Bateman. Other actors joining the sequel include Quinta Brunson, Yvette Nicole Brown, Macaulay Culkin, Andy Samberg, Idris Elba, Jenny Slate, Bonnie Hunt, Patrick Warburton, Alan Tudyk, Shakira, and Brenda Song.
The plot revolves around a new character, Gary De’Snake, voiced by Ke Huy Quan, whose arrival prompts a citywide manhunt, adding layers to the story’s central mystery. The sequel aims to expand the Zootopia universe and continue exploring themes and adventures that captivated audiences in the first film.
The film is directed by the Oscar®-winning team of Disney Animation chief creative officer Jared Bush and Byron Howard and produced by Yvett Merino.
The “Zootopia 2” score is composed by Academy Award®-winner Michael Giacchino and launches as a part of the full soundtrack on Friday, November 21, ahead of the film’s theatrical release on Wednesday, November 26.
In addition to writing and producing the new single “Zoo” for the film, Shakira, Ed Sheeran and Blake Slatkin appear in “Zootopia 2” in special cameos as a pair of sheep named Ed Shearin and Baalake Lambkin.
The film premieres in U.S. theaters on November 26, 2025, just in time for Thanksgiving!
