Less than 24 hours after Disney found their Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, it appears they have now found their Mother Gothel for their live-action Tangled remake.

According to Deadline, Kathryn Hahan (Agatha All Along) is in talks to play the villain. A good sign as she was a fan favorite amongst fans across social media.

Hahn would join a cast that now includes Teagan Croft (Titans) and Milo Manheim (Zombies franchise), who have been cast as the two iconic characters Rapunzel and Flynn.

Better Man and The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey is directing the Tangled remake.

Disney’s live-action Tangled is expecting to shoot in early June 2026 in the United Kingdom but could be delayed depending on the casting for the feature film.
