This is not a drill OR a belated April Fools’ joke!
The third season of Daredevil: Born Again is currently filming in New York City. While Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are expected to reprise their roles, brand new set photos have revealed that they will be in some very familiar company next season.
That company is none other than Mike Colter and Finn Jones, who played Luke Cage and Danny Rand a.k.a Iron Fist respectively in Netflix’s MCU shows. In photos taken today (Friday, April 3, 2026) and uploaded to Getty Images by photographer Jose Perez, you can clearly see the actors barely covered in black robes as they walk around the set. In case you were still on the fence about the photos, they are being escorted by Kristen Ritter in her Jessica Jones outfit.

Now, having seen the entire second season of Born Again, we can admit that both Colter and Jones’ return isn’t entirely surprising (keep your ears open for a very specific name drop in the coming weeks). However, fans have been rallying for them to come back since their shows were canceled. And when Daredevil was revived, they pretty much expected the same thing to happen with everyone else. Those prayers appeared to be answered when it was revealed Jon Bernthal would be returning as Frank Castle a.k.a The Punisher in the first season. And again when Ritter was cast in the (current) second season of Born Again. So seeing Colter and Jones back really feels like the equivalent to having old friends come to a party hours after it’s started.
Now, there’s always a chance Marvel is trolling us. The fact that someone managed to take these photos at all is pretty miraculous, considering how strict the studio has become with leaks. Nevertheless, we’ll just have to wait and see for ourselves whenever the third season drops!

Dario Scardapane, who was an executive producer on Netflix’s Punisher series, is the showrunner for Daredevil: Born Again. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, the directing duo behind Moon Knight and season 2 of Loki are directing.
