It’s Summertime and an even year so you know what that means …… Its time for D23 The Ultimate Fan event!! It’s also almost July and with only two months to go Today the D23 Team decided to drop some major Announcements of what we can expect at the biggest Disney Convention this summer.
Now most of the announcements today are geared toward what is happening in the Afternoons while people that got tickets to the highly anticipated Honda Center go to those panels. On Friday August 14th we have the Disney rewind Concert at 7PM which will be a concert showcasing the very best of the 80’s and 90’s Disney music performed live by Broadway and animation stars alike. Their will be an encore performance on Saturday August 15th at 6:30PM.
On Sunday August 16th at 6PM there will be “A whole new world of Alan Menken” Alan will put on a one man concert of all his biggest hits and will tell the stories behind them. Ww have seen this one man show before but with Alan’s wide collection of hits that he has curated over the years there is no telling what he will play and who will show up , either way you slice it you cant go wrong with this concert.
Along with these concerts D23 announced many other panels that will sure to peak your interest
August 14th: Walt Disney:125 years of Inspiration ,Ink and Paint at Disney Animation, 20 years of Enchanted: A love letter to Disney, The Quests Ahead for Disney Lorcana Trading card Game and Houses Walt Built : The Walt Disney Family Museum.
August 15th: Worlds of Tinkerbell : Neverland to Pixie Hollow, Disney and Marvel: A legacy of Stories presented by M&M’s , Disney Style Around the world, and Great moments with Walt.
August 16th: The Disney experience Auction – Rare and Remarkable finds , One hundred and one Dalmatians 65th anniversary, Searching for the Swiss Family Robinson Tree house.
Ravensburger will also be there all weekend long hosting panels and have their booth but also for the first time will host A Disney Lorcana challenge Championship Qualifier on Saturday with top 16 competing on Sunday you will have to buy a separate CCQ ticket to play. It will be limited to 128 players.
D23 also assured us that we will still have our favorite Activations on the conventionre show floor with the Disney plus Hulu Experience , Marvel studio’s is bringing the TVA : your Next Assignment, LucasFilm will have their photo ops and props and Pixar and Walt Disney Animation teams up again for a must see animation experience previewing everything coming especially Frozen 3 and Gatto. The newest show floor experience will be Mundo Pixar : the D23 experience which really has me intrigued.
