Disney Experiences came to D23 this year with one goal: announce everything.
During Horizons: A Carousel of Progress, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, Disney unleashed a massive look at what’s coming to its parks and cruise line around the world. Some were updates we’ve been waiting for. Others came completely out of nowhere.
And then there was the Yeti.
Yes, we’ll get there.
Here’s everything Disney announced, in the order it was revealed.
The Imagineering Story Is Coming Back
A second season of The Imagineering Story is officially in production from Leslie Iwerks and will arrive on Disney+ in early 2028
The new season will once again take fans behind the scenes with Walt Disney Imagineering as several major projects go from ideas to reality.
Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston Join Carousel of Progress
Well, this wasn’t on our D23 bingo card.
Disney Legend Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston are becoming the new mom and dad in Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom.
The attraction is also getting an updated 1980s scene when the changes debut in late spring 2027.

Disneyland Favorites Are Coming Back
Disneyland Resort is bringing back some fan-favorite entertainment in 2027.
A refreshed “Remember… Dreams Come True” fireworks spectacular returns in February, along with an updated version of the original World of Color at Disney California Adventure.
Then Magic Happens returns in summer 2027.
Space Mountain Gets Big Changes Around the World
Disneyland Paris is taking Space Mountain back to its roots, transforming Hyperspace Mountain into Space Mountain: De la Terre à la Lune and bringing back its Jules Verne-inspired identity and original musical score.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Disneyland is heading in the opposite direction with the completely new Space Mountain: Earthrise, part of its reimagined Tomorrowland.
Spaceship Earth Is Getting Its Next Chapter
Spaceship Earth is preparing for its biggest update in nearly two decades.
The EPCOT attraction will expand beyond the story of human communication to explore the larger idea of human connection, while keeping the optimism and wonder that have always defined it.
Hopefully the Phoenicians are safe.
THE YETI IS COMING BACK
Yes.
THE YETI IS COMING BACK TO LIFE.
Disney confirmed that the massive Yeti animatronic inside Expedition Everest will finally be brought back to life.
After years of Disco Yeti, Imagineering is going back in.
Somewhere, a strobe light just became unemployed.
Avengers Are Taking Over
Hong Kong Disneyland is getting a new Avengers Pavilion at Stark Expo featuring Avengers Research Testing Labs, Peter Parker and a Quinjet landing platform.
Shanghai Disney Resort is going even bigger with the first Disney Parks land dedicated entirely to Spider-Man, featuring a new coaster, Spider-Bots and projects from W.E.B.
Then there’s California.
Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab will open at Disney California Adventure in 2028, doubling the size of Avengers Campus.
Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Mackie and Brie Larson will also reprise their Marvel roles for Stark Flight Lab.
At this point, just give RDJ a key to Avengers Campus.
Indiana Jones Heads to Animal Kingdom
Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent is coming to Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Guests will follow Indy into an ancient Maya temple filled with supernatural dangers, legendary creatures and a gigantic serpent.

This should go extremely well.
Encanto Comes to Tropical Americas
Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto will bring guests inside Casita on the day Antonio receives his gift.
The family-friendly attraction will feature new rooms, Antonio’s animals, music and plenty of Madrigal family magic.
And no, we’re not making the Bruno joke.
Okay, maybe just once.
Coco Is Finally Getting a Disney Parks Attraction
Disney revealed new details about the first-ever Coco attraction at a Disney park, coming to Disney California Adventure.
Guests will enter through a “casa museo” dedicated to Héctor Rivera before boarding a boat and traveling through Miguel’s memories of the Land of the Dead.
A Coco boat ride through the Land of the Dead?
Yeah, we’re in.
The Lion King Finally Gets an Attraction
Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris is getting the first-ever attraction based on The Lion King.
Guests will journey through the Pride Lands and follow Simba from curious cub to king.
It only took more than 30 years.

Wreck-It Ralph Heads to Tokyo Disneyland
Tokyo Disneyland is getting Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue, inspired by Wreck-It Ralph.
Guests will enter Sugar Rush alongside Ralph and Vanellope and help deal with rogue sugar bugs while trying to stay ahead of King Candy.
Colorful, chaotic and very Tokyo Disney.
Start Your Engines
Disney revealed more about Piston Peak at Magic Kingdom, including Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along and the bigger Cars Ridge Run Rally.
Racers will climb mountain trails, blast through snowy peaks, pass erupting geysers and race back toward the finish line while Lightning McQueen and Mater provide commentary.
Magic Kingdom officially wants in on the racing action.
Disney Cruise Line Keeps Growing
Disney gave fans their first look at the upcoming Disney Believe, setting sail in 2027 with Moana in the Grand Hall, Tinker Bell on the bow and Buzz Lightyear and Woody on the stern.
Disney also announced an entirely new class of Disney Cruise Line ships beginning in 2029, designed to reach even more destinations around the world.
Translation: start saving now.
Welcome to Monstropolis
Disney revealed more about Monstropolis, opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2027.
Guests will find Mike and Sulley in a new theater show, Harryhausen’s, Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza and an original song written for the land by Disney Legend Randy Newman.
Monsters, pizza and Randy Newman.

Villains Land Is Going to Be Wild
Disney shared new details about Villains Land at Magic Kingdom, built around a cursed forest, a broken Wishing Well and some of Disney’s greatest villains.
One attraction will send guests racing through Maleficent’s enchanted briars aboard a coaster, while another takes guests into the realm of the Magic Mirror.
If we’ve waited this long for Villains Land, it better be completely unhinged.
DISNEYLAND IS FINALLY DOING SOMETHING WITH TOMORROWLAND
And then it happened.
Tomorrowland at Disneyland is officially being reimagined.
Disney says the transformation will honor Tomorrowland’s history while introducing new attractions, more open spaces and an entirely new vision for the future.
Somewhere, every Disneyland fan who has stared at those PeopleMover tracks for the last decade just shed a tear.
Figment and Dreamfinder Are Back Together
Disney saved one heck of a surprise for the end.
Figment and Dreamfinder are preparing for a new journey into imagination at EPCOT.
Disney didn’t give us much more than that.
But Figment and Dreamfinder together again?
You sneaky bastards.
From the Yeti finally coming back to life to Tomorrowland, Villains Land, Avengers, Indiana Jones, Coco, Cars, Monstropolis and Dreamfinder, Disney absolutely unloaded at D23.
Some of it is coming soon. Some of it is still years away.
But one thing is pretty clear:
There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow coming — and our wallets are absolutely screwed.
