Oasis Rocks Venice as ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ Sets September 11 Theatrical Release

Oasis took its legendary comeback at the Venice International Film Festival as Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger celebrated its world premiere in front of more than 1,000 festival guests.

Liam and Noel Gallagher walked the red carpet alongside creator and writer Steven Knight and directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace. The documentary screened inside the Sala Grande at the historic Palazzo del Cinema, where it reportedly received a rapturous response from the audience.

The Biggest Comeback in Rock Gets the Big-Screen Treatment

Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger follows the band’s massive Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour, one of the most anticipated rock comebacks in recent memory.

Featuring unprecedented access and never-before-seen footage, the film promises an unapologetically uplifting look at the Gallaghers’ return and the musical event that brought Oasis fans back together worldwide.

The documentary was created by BAFTA and Academy Award-nominated writer, producer and director Steven Knight, whose previous credits include Peaky Blinders and A Thousand Blows.

Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the filmmaking team behind Shut Up and Play the Hits and Meet Me in the Bathroom, directed the project.

When Can Fans See It?

Disney+ will present a special theatrical engagement beginning September 11 in select IMAX locations and cinemas.

The documentary will then stream later this year exclusively on Disney+ internationally. In the United States, it will be available on both Hulu and Disney+.

For Oasis fans who have waited years to see Liam and Noel share a stage again, this looks like more than a standard concert documentary. It is a chance to witness one of rock ’n’ roll’s most unlikely—and most celebrated—reunions from a front-row seat.

And after its reception in Venice, it appears Oasis may have another hit on its hands.
