Marvel fans, keep those casting wish lists handy. The Russo brothers still have names up their sleeves.
In a new interview published by Disney, Avengers: Doomsday directors Anthony and Joe Russo confirmed that the film’s announced cast does not tell the whole story.
“We have absolutely not announced the entire cast. There is more to come,” Anthony said.
That ought to keep the internet busy.

Who Else Is Walking Through That Door?
The roster already brings together the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men and other Marvel heroes. Apparently, there’s still room at the table.
Naturally, fans will have their favorites. But the Russos’ comments don’t confirm any particular unannounced actor or character. Until Marvel names names, those dream appearances remain speculation.
Still, that’s one hell of an invitation to start guessing.
A surprise return can mean much more than another famous face on a poster. Give the right character the right entrance, and you have a theater full of people losing their minds before anyone finishes a line.
The Smaller Characters Could Steal the Show
The Russos also teased unexpected character combinations, suggesting that some of the less central players could deliver their favorite moments.
That might be the most exciting part. With an ensemble this crowded, the fun comes from watching personalities collide. Who gets along? Who immediately gets on somebody’s nerves? Who ends up carrying a scene you thought belonged to someone else?
The biggest name doesn’t always get the biggest reaction.

Marvel Still Has Something to Hide
Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters December 18, 2026. Between now and then, every casting announcement is going to send fans back to their theories.
For now, the directors have given us one clear answer: there are more names coming.
Let the guessing games begin. Marvel knows exactly what it just started.
