Your next trip to Batuu might end with a very tempting souvenir.
Disney has introduced new lightsaber upgrades at Savi’s Workshop at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, available starting October 5. Builders can also choose an updated Protection and Defense hilt design with white finishes, gold detailing and ancient Jedi symbols inspired by the High Republic.
Apparently, saving the galaxy calls for a little gold.
More Than a New Look
The enhanced chassis and blades bring thermal cutting, spinning and deflection effects, along with smoother blade activation and improved audio. Those upgrades apply across the hilt themes.
Special cracked kyber crystals add another twist: a flick of the wrist can trigger a color change. For anyone having trouble choosing between the light and dark sides, that sounds like a dangerously fun temptation.

Time to Build Your Own
The new features give Star Wars fans another reason to consider stepping into Savi’s Workshop. Choosing your parts is one thing. Getting to ignite the finished lightsaber is where the childhood dream takes over.
Purchase is required, and Disney strongly encourages reservations at both resorts.
Your wallet may have a bad feeling about this.
