Disney is bringing witches, family secrets, and a three-eyed cat to Thanksgiving weekend.
Walt Disney Animation Studios has released a new trailer and poster for Hexed, its original animated adventure arriving exclusively in theaters November 25, 2026. The new look comes with fresh casting news, with Henry Winkler and Dan Stevens joining an already impressive lineup.
And yes, Walton Goggins is voicing a magical cat named Beef Roger Crummchuk. That alone deserves a little attention.
From Suburbia to a World of Witches
The story follows Billie Doe, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, a teenager whose hidden magical abilities send her ordinary life spinning into something much bigger.
After unleashing those powers, Billie finds herself in Hexe, a sprawling realm of witches. Joining her is her cautious mother, Alice, voiced by Rashida Jones. Together, they uncover family mysteries with consequences that reach far beyond their own household.
A mother and daughter thrown into a magical world with secrets to unravel? There is plenty of room here for adventure, friction, and some big emotional swings.
Henry Winkler and Dan Stevens Join the Magic
Winkler voices Nigel, a nervous but all-knowing potoo bird who carries powerful secrets about Hexe. Knowing the answers and keeping your cool are apparently two very different things.
Stevens takes on Hieronymus, the pompous Grand Councilor serving Queen Celeste. With a title that big and an ego to match, he sounds perfectly positioned to make life difficult.
Celeste herself is voiced by Jodie Foster. Disney describes the queen as a sinister ruler determined to hold on to her power over Hexe forever.
Then there is Goggins’ Beef Roger Crummchuk, a reclusive, magical three-eyed cat who forms an uneasy alliance with Billie and Alice. A reluctant feline ally with that name could be a scene stealer.
A Cast Packed With Familiar Voices
The ensemble also includes Tracey Ullman and Stephen Fry, alongside newly announced names including Cheri Oteri, Kathy Najimy, Wayne Knight, Alan Tudyk, Randall Park, Pat McAfee, Chris Parnell, Rachel Dratch, Ariana Madix and Yvette Nicole Brown.
Other cast members include Brett Gelman, Samson Kayo, Jimmy O. Yang, Ron Funches, Drew McIntyre, Bill Farmer, Sarah-Nicole Robles, Kellie Gerardi, Abraham Benrubi and Josh Dallas.
That is a whole lot of personality heading into one witch realm.
An Original Disney Adventure for Thanksgiving
Hexed is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, with Josie Trinidad co-directing. Roy Conli and Yvett Merino produce, and Jared Bush and Dana Ledoux Miller wrote the film.
Between a mother and daughter at the center of the story, a queen guarding her throne and a magical world full of unusual allies, Hexed has an intriguing mix of family drama and fantasy adventure.
Now we get to see whether Billie can handle her powers, survive Hexe, and navigate whatever comes with befriending a cat named Beef Roger.
Disney’s Hexed opens exclusively in theaters November 25, 2026.
