Over the last few weeks, ABC’s long-running Bachelor franchise has taken quite the hit due to all the drama surrounding Taylor Frankie Paul.
While the future of the series seemed in jeopardy, we at The DisInsider have learned that Disney has stumbled upon an unexpected solution.
In an attempt to win back old fans and recruit newer, younger ones, we can exclusively report that ABC has tapped Miss Piggy to be the next Bachelorette!
Yes, the beloved Muppet diva is finally getting the role of a lifetime.

We’re told the idea was originally suggested sarcastically by new CEO Josh D’Amaro. However, the head of ABC became so obsessed with it, they needed to see it come to fruition.
One source says that, because the studio was so familiar with Miss Piggy – and was 100% sure she had no criminal record – the decision was a “no-brainer.” Another says, that it actually sounds like a decision made by someone without a brain.
It’s our understanding that very little about the production will change. Jesse Palmer will still host. Dozens of human men will still show up, competing for her love. And some crazy stuff could really go down when it’s time to enter the fantasy suites. But there’s no promise a Muppet or two won’t wonder onto set and become a member of the crew…
For those wondering what this means about Piggy’s relationship with Kermit, TMZ reports that the two stopped seeing each other shortly after the premiere of The Muppet Show. Representatives for Kermit the Frog did not deny the casting, and said “the timing couldn’t be better.”
We’ve also heard that if this show is successful, the studio will immediately move forward with a season of The Golden Bachelor starring Statler and Waldorf!

Now, if you’ve made it this far, this is obviously an April Fools’ joke.
As far as we know, The Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise is on an extended pause. Plus, we would never wish that on Miss Piggy.
