The Direct is reporting that Darth Maul may appear in various Star Wars shows on Disney’s streaming platform, Disney+. With Disney’s news of properties getting pushed back, fans are begging for new Star Wars content sooner than later.

The Mandalorian season 2 is still on track for October and will feature a lot of characters introduced in Star Wars: Rebels and The Clone WarsThe Obi-Wan Kenobi series is also getting ready to start shooting in January 2021 and is rumored to feature both Anakin (Hayden Christensen expected to return) as well as Darth Vader himself.

The trade goes on to say that there are talks of Maul getting his own series with Emilia Clarke’s Qi’ra set to reprise.

No word on the validity of these reports but we can only hope. We want more live-action Darth Maul!

Social media has been buzzing with new news regarding season two of The Mandalorian. With no casting additions including, Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Timothy Olyphant as Cobb Vanth, Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett, Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan, Michael Biehn and Sasha Banks in unknown roles. They join a returning cast that includes Pedro Pascal as a titular bounty hunter, Gina Carano as Cara Dune, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, Emily Swallow as the Armorer, Bill Burr as Mayfeld, Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand and Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon.

Directors Peyton Reed (Ant-Man films) and Robert Rodriguez (Sin City) are also newcomers to the series. Favreau and Weathers will also make their directorial debut on the series alongside season one returning directors Dave Filoni and Rick Famuyiwa.

Disney+ is already in development on a third season, with reports that spinoffs are also in early development. You can catch up or rewatch season one on the streamer now.
